There are a never ending list of things that vinegar and baking soda can do for you. It’s amazing. Here’s some recent things I’ve done with the wonder duo.
LAUNDRY BOOSTER: Buy a large bag or box of baking soda. I bought mine at Smart and Final, but you can get them at most Super Markets. Add 40 drops of your favorite essential oil. Allow to sit for 24-48 hours. Add 1/2 a cup to your laundry loads and your clothes will look and smell amazing.
FABRIC SOFTENER: I saw this on Apartment Therapy and tried it today. It’s incredible. Purchase a gallon of white vinegar. Add 40 or so drops of your favorite essential oil. I used Rose Geranium and Peppermint. Shake. Allow to sit for 24-48 hours. Add 1/4 cup to your fabric softener compartment in your washing machine or add to a Downey Ball. It only leaves the scent and softness.
GET THE OLD SMELL OUT: We have all bought something vintage and it stinks. You try to get the stink out, but it won’t budge. Fill your bathtub with hot water and a cup of white vinegar. Hang your clothes from the rod and close up the bathroom. It removes the stink. It’s awesome.
GET THE FOOD SMELL OUT: I love to cook, but sometimes the odors are a little much. You can boil some water with a 1/2 cup of baking soda on the stove and it will take the smell out of the air.
